Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocNGIN ("the Service", "we", "our", "us") at docngin.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically.

2. Description of Service

DocNGIN provides free, browser-based tools for working with documents, particularly PDF files. Features include merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting, annotating, signing, and form-filling PDFs, among others.

Most operations are performed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. No account or registration is required to use the basic tools.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability.

3. Permitted Use

You may use DocNGIN for lawful, personal, or business purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to overload or abuse the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features, including features that enforce usage limits.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Use the Service to generate, process, or distribute malware or malicious content.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute DocNGIN's tools or output as your own product without prior written permission.

4. File Uploads & Content

You retain full ownership and responsibility for any files you process using DocNGIN. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to process and modify the files you upload.
  • The files do not contain content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • You will not use the Service to process documents containing sensitive personal data belonging to others without appropriate authorisation.

Because file processing is performed locally in your browser, DocNGIN does not receive, store, or take responsibility for the content of your files. You acknowledge that any risk associated with processing sensitive or confidential documents is borne entirely by you.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on DocNGIN - including but not limited to the website design, logos, interface elements, and code - is owned by or licensed to DocNGIN and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its content.

All intellectual property rights in any documents you process remain solely with you or their respective owners. DocNGIN claims no ownership over your files or their contents.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any output produced by the tools.

You are solely responsible for verifying that processed documents meet your requirements before relying on them for any legal, business, or personal purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocNGIN and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption - arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $0 if you have used the Service free of charge).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DocNGIN and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
  • Any content or files you process using the Service.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for convenience only. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any external services you visit.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DocNGIN regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter hereof.
