Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to DocNGIN ("we", "our", or "us"). We operate the website at docngin.com (the "Service"), which provides free browser-based tools for working with PDF and document files.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using DocNGIN, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Files you upload: All document processing on DocNGIN happens entirely inside your browser. Files you select or drop onto any tool are read locally by your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We have no access to the contents of your documents.
Usage data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics such as page views, tool usage frequency, browser type, and general geographic region. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII).
Cookies & local storage: We may use cookies or browser local storage to remember preferences (e.g., recently used tools). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
Contact submissions: If you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect your email address and the content of your message to respond to your inquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the DocNGIN platform.
- Understand how users interact with our tools to prioritise new features.
- Respond to support inquiries and feedback.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or technical errors.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
4. File Privacy & Security
DocNGIN is a client-side application. All PDF processing (merging, splitting, compressing, signing, adding text, converting images, etc.) is performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript libraries. Your files are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Because files are processed locally, we cannot access, view, copy, or recover any document you use with our tools. Once you close or refresh the page, any in-memory file data is discarded by your browser.
For tasks that require server-side processing (e.g., heavy format conversions), any files temporarily transmitted are processed in memory, never written to persistent storage, and deleted immediately after the operation completes - typically within seconds.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate and protect the platform:
- Cloudflare - provides CDN delivery, security screening, and DDoS protection. When you visit DocNGIN, your request may be routed through Cloudflare's global network. Cloudflare may process your IP address and set security-related cookies (e.g.,
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) to distinguish legitimate visitors from malicious bots and to protect the site from abuse. These cookies are strictly necessary for security purposes and are governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. - Analytics providers - we may use a privacy-friendly analytics service to count page views and tool usage in aggregate, without identifying individual users. No personally identifiable information is collected for analytics purposes.
- Hosting infrastructure - servers and edge nodes used to deliver the web application globally. These providers process standard server log data (IP addresses, user-agent strings, timestamps) solely for operational purposes.
All third-party providers are required to handle any data they process in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR and CCPA where relevant.
For a full breakdown of the cookies set by DocNGIN and its third-party providers, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Retention
Since we do not store your files, there is no file data to retain or delete. Anonymous analytics data may be retained in aggregated form indefinitely. If you contact us, correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, and deleted thereafter upon request.
7. Children's Privacy
DocNGIN is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Deletion: Request that your personal data be deleted.
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@ceeso.dev. We will respond within 30 days.
9. International Users
DocNGIN is operated from a global infrastructure. If you access the Service from outside the jurisdiction where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in that jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that any such transfer complies with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA where applicable.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
