Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (stored for a set period or until deleted).

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and web beacons, which operate in comparable ways. This policy covers all such technologies collectively referred to as "cookies".

2. How DocNGIN Uses Cookies

DocNGIN itself is a client-side application - most tool operations run entirely in your browser and do not require cookies. We keep our direct use of cookies minimal. However, some third-party services we rely on (notably Cloudflare for security) set their own cookies, which are described in detail below.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Security & bot protection - to protect the site from malicious traffic and DDoS attacks (via Cloudflare).
  • Preferences - to remember any settings you configure in our tools.
  • Analytics - to understand which tools are used and how the site performs, without identifying you personally.

3. Cookies We Set

DocNGIN does not currently set any first-party persistent tracking cookies. We may use browser local storage to save your in-tool preferences (e.g., last used font size). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

4. Third-Party Cookies

4.1 Cloudflare

DocNGIN uses Cloudflare to provide CDN delivery, DDoS protection, and web application firewall (WAF) services. Cloudflare is a US-based company operating under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Cloudflare may set the following cookies strictly for security purposes. These cookies do not track you across websites and contain no personally identifiable information.

__cflbCloudflareLoad balancing - used to route requests to the same server during a session for consistency.Strictly necessarySession

For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Cookie documentation.

4.2 Analytics (if enabled)

We may use a privacy-friendly analytics service to measure aggregate site usage. If enabled, this service uses a minimal cookie or fingerprint-free method that does not identify individual users. No data is shared with advertising networks.

5. Cookie Categories Explained

Strictly Necessary

Essential for the website to function and to protect it from security threats. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They do not track browsing activity for advertising or marketing purposes.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous - no individual user is identified.

Preferences

Remember choices you make (such as tool settings) to give you a better experience on return visits. These are entirely local to your browser.

6. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are links to instructions for the most common browsers:

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (such as Cloudflare security cookies) may prevent parts of DocNGIN from working correctly or may result in repeated security challenges.

To opt out of analytics tracking (where applicable), you can also use browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable regulations. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically.
